    StrongFirst Conflict Minerals Purchasing Policy

    The EICC pointed out that some metal minerals have become the main source of income for armed rebel groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Africa, used to trade arms, continue their bloody conflict with the government, and smash local civilians, thus triggering international controversy. As a world citizen, we have declared and promised not to accept the use of metals from conflict mining areas; at the same time, we also require suppliers of StrongFirst:

    1. Must fulfill social environmental responsibility;

    2. Ensure that products do not use “conflict minerals” from Congo and its surrounding countries and regions;

    3. Trace the gold (Au), tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn) and tungsten (W) sources contained in all products

    4. Communicate this request to your upstream supplier.

    Conflict metal: refers to the minerals from the conflict zone of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including coltan, cassiterite, black tungsten and gold. These minerals are refined into tantalum (Ta), tin (Sn), tungsten (W) (referred to as tri-T minerals), cobalt (Co) and gold (Au), etc., respectively for electronics and other products.

    In the near future, the use of metals produced by certain smelters will be banned, so all key suppliers must trace the source of the metals used in their parts and the smelter.
